Thompson Solutions Group Develops Next Generation of Leaders Through Emerging Leaders Program

Thompson Solutions Group (TSG) has launched its inaugural Emerging Leaders Program, a nine-month professional development initiative designed to identify, develop, and prepare the next generation of leaders across the organization. The program is part of TSG’s broader leadership development strategy and commitment to investing in employee growth and long-term succession planning. For their first cohort class, they have named six participants.

Those selected for the first class are:

  • Brandon Baker: Senior Project Manager of Electrical Construction
  • Keith Gorter: Senior Project Manager of Electrical Construction
  • Mike Julius: Project Manager of Electrical Construction
  • Paul Martindale: Software Engineer
  • Shane Rol: Prefab Designer of Electrical Construction
  • Dustin Wenger: Senior Manager of Automation

The Emerging Leaders Program is intended for high-potential employees who have been identified through TSG’s succession planning process and demonstrate a strong commitment to leadership, business excellence, and the company’s mission. Participants were selected through a competitive application and interview process that included executive sponsorship and evaluation by company leadership.

“At TSG, we believe our future success depends on developing exceptional leaders from within our organization,” said Bridey Hayes, Vice President of Human Resources. “The Emerging Leaders Program provides employees with opportunities to strengthen their leadership skills, expand their business knowledge, and gain valuable mentorship while preparing them for greater responsibilities in the future.”

The program launched in July and will continue through March 2027. Participants will engage in a curriculum that includes leadership development, business acumen, human resources, conflict resolution, communication skills, collaboration, mentorship opportunities, and a capstone project that will be presented to company leadership at graduation.

A distinguishing feature of the program is its emphasis on mentorship, self-reflection, professional assessments, supervisor feedback, and hands-on learning experiences. Participants will work closely with established leaders throughout the organization while developing personalized growth plans and applying their learning to real business challenges.

According to Jennifer Stanwick-Klimek, Director of Learning and Development and leader of the Emerging Leaders Program, the initiative is designed to create a sustainable leadership pipeline that supports TSG’s continued growth.

“Leadership development doesn’t happen by chance,” said Jennifer Stanwick-Klimek. “Our goal is to give our leaders the tools, experiences, and mentorship they need to grow professionally while helping them understand how they can contribute to the long-term success of TSG. This program creates meaningful opportunities for employees to challenge themselves, develop new skills, and prepare for future leadership opportunities.”

The Emerging Leaders Program is one component of TSG’s comprehensive leadership development framework, which includes the Essentials of Leadership program, the Field Leaders Excelling (FLEX) program, mentorship initiatives, and development opportunities for existing leaders. Together, these programs create a structured pathway for employee growth at every stage of a career within TSG.
