Community Involvement
Everything we do at Thompson Solutions Group aims to advance our clients’ way of life in some way, and we have the same goal for each of the communities where our 600+ team members live, work, and play. We strive to advance our communities through leadership, volunteer service, supporting non-profit events, gifting donations, partnering with our local technology schools and other youth organizations. We hope to leave a positive impact on our local communities.
Leading By Example
Throughout our history, we’ve always been eager to get involved in projects and innovate or add value as best we can. We believe that our success in the marketplace has provided us with an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in our communities, and we also believe that each and every individual in our diverse teams has the ability and responsibility to extend that service and enhance their local community.
That’s why we’re committed to fostering a spirit of citizenship by encouraging and facilitating employee participation in community life and events as often as we can. We take great pride in having a positive and lasting impact on our local communities, and we have so much fun doing it!
Helping Local Heroes
During the COVID pandemic, pioneering Thompson employees and numerous community partners teamed up to adapt to a pressing safety and well-being need among frontline medical staff at UnityPoint Health. We designed a visor that holds a clear plastic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) barrier along with a strap that holds face masks in place to prevent behind-the-ear pain and soreness. Collaborative partners who teamed up to manufacture thousands of the PPE visors included Rocklin Manufacturing, State Steel, Gomaco, WIT, LaunchPad Children’s Museum, Northeast Community College, Krueger Designs, Siouxland Robotics Club, Sioux City Community Schools, Dustyn Jensen, and Mathew Benson. Thank you!
